LUMINA Light Festival presents:

Internacional Video Mapping Open Call

Would you like to see your work light up the façade of the Cascais Cultural Center at one of Europe’s Top 10 Light Festivals, as named by The Guardian?
The LUMINA Light Festival returns for its 8th edition, inviting creators from around the world to be part of a unique artistic installation.

Inspired by the theme “Dreams and Stories”, this video mapping artwork will be projected onto the façade of the Cascais Cultural Center over the three nights of the festival, which attracts more than 450k visitors each edition.

To further promote creativity and emerging talent in the field of digital art, Portugal Agenda — the platform that highlights immersive and cultural experiences across the country — joins this initiative by awarding the Portugal Agenda New Lights Prize to the public’s favorite project.

The creation with the most public votes, collected between September 12 and 21, will receive the Portugal Agenda New Lights Award, worth €1,000.

How does it work?

After submitting your application, you’ll receive an email with all the instructions to send us your 60-second video mapping proposal.

All submissions will be reviewed by LUMINA’s Artistic Direction, who will select the finalist projects.

The selected works will be projected onto the façade of the Cascais Cultural Center during the festival, from September 12 to 14, 2025.

Between September 12 and 21, the public will vote for their favorite creation through a digital system available on Portugal Agenda’s Instagram page.

The most voted project will win the Portugal Agenda New Lights Award -€1,000.

Who can apply?

Motion designers, 3D artists, digital artists, animators, and all creators passionate about digital art. Show us your creativity!

Only individuals aged 18 or older are eligible to apply.
