Serralves em Luz

Serralves em Luz, creatively directed by Nuno Maya in collaboration with the Serralves Park Management and produced by OCUBO, returns in 2026 with its most ambitious edition yet, presenting a completely new nighttime route through Serralves Park.

Along a 2 km immersive trail, visitors will encounter 20 light, multimedia, interactive and sound installations, created exclusively for this edition and presented in Portugal for the very first time.

Inspired by the theme "Light vs Darkness", the experience invites visitors to explore the relationship between light and shadow through artworks that transform the natural landscape into a journey of discovery, contemplation and wonder. From large-scale light installations to immersive environments and interactive artworks, each stop offers a new way to experience the park after dark.

Sound also plays a central role in this edition, with original compositions created especially for the event by seven renowned Portuguese artists: Francisco Rebelo, Gonçalo Garcia dos Santos, Inóspita, Maria João, Noiserv, Pedro Antunes and Rodrigo Leão. Their work explores the dialogue between sound and silence, reinforcing the connection between light and darkness throughout the experience.

Having welcomed more than 200,000 visitors across previous editions, Serralves in Light has established itself as one of Portugal's leading immersive art events, bringing together contemporary art, nature and technology in a unique cultural experience for visitors of all ages.
